Charles Spurgeon once said: "We cannot all argue, but we can all pray; we cannot all be leaders, but we can all be pleaders; we cannot all be mighty in rhetoric, but we can all be prevalent in prayer."
This quote sums up the reason why Anza has prayer meetings. This is a great time of fellowship and an opportunity to grow to know the people in the church more: their backgrounds, spiritual, physical, and overall needs. During this time, we share our requests, praises and necessities, so that we may have an opportunity carry each other's burdens (Gal. 6:2), serve and love our neighbor in Christ, and learn how to better minister to the people in the church and our community. No one is obligated to share or pray if one does not feel comfortable to do so. But we are all encouraged to continue to pray for the requests brought up throughout the week.
